Lovely to get a chance to visit a completed project- especially when it has been fitted out so meticulously! (Just got a few quick snaps for now... more later...)

Newton Revitalized

Wonderful evening pic of our recent renovation in Newton - thanks to Matthew Cunningham Landscape Design LLC - who did the amazing landscape design.

Garden Home - Weston MA

It is so great to see how each house settles in over time. This house was beautiful when it was finished, but with the Owner's furniture moved in, it truly became a home!

What is 'Green' Architecture?

So excited to be working on a project at this beautiful site in Groton. More to come!

June 2019

Anne just completed this fascinating course at Harvard University Extension School - it provided a comprehensive exploration of zero energy and passive buildings, including building energy dynamics, renewable system fundamentals, energy economics, passive architecture, energy budgets, site and source energy, policy, codes, financing, and incentive structures. Through projects and case studies it also explored the state of practice and state of art in zero energy and passive design for both residential scale and commercial/institutional scale.

Newton Revitalized

This historic home has taken on a new life, keeping the charm and scale of the original intact while the new additions and renovations at the back open up the home to the beautiful yard and the new bluestone Patio.

The collaborative team included the Owners (who were repeat-clients from the Double Vision condo project), Draudt Design Architects, Rachel Reid Design on Interiors, and contractor Asher Nichols Craftsmen.

One amazing thing about the internet is finding new pictures of projects from long ago. Anne designed this project when she was a project architect at Bereznicki Architects... so wonderful to see how it has stood the test of time!

A Country Inn - Stow MA

Amerscot House Inn is a beautiful place to unwind in rural surroundings while surrounded by comfort and luxurious touches. Draudt Design helped the owner renovate the property and create a new home in the upstairs of the old barn previously used for conferences.

This early Draudt Design project combined the Owner's small condo with the unit next door, allowing the young couple keep their roots but find room to grow to accomodate their expanding family and art collection.

This winter I have been missing the earth and sun and my time on the porch... am daydreaming about the green of spring and the scents of summer.
