It is so great to see how each house settles in over time. This house was beautiful when it was finished, but with the Owner's furniture moved in, it truly became a home!

This historic home has taken on a new life, keeping the charm and scale of the original intact while the new additions and renovations at the back open up the home to the beautiful yard and the new bluestone Patio.
The collaborative team included the Owners (who were repeat-clients from the Double Vision condo project), Draudt Design Architects, Rachel Reid Design on Interiors, and contractor Asher Nichols Craftsmen.

Massachusetts has adopted the Ninth Edition of the Mass State Building Code. Consequently, building permit applications for projects utilizing eighth edition code provisions will need to be filed on or before December 31, 2017. Applications received on or after January 1, 2018, where the project has been designed to the eighth edition, shall be returned to the applicant.
This early Draudt Design project combined the Owner's small condo with the unit next door, allowing the young couple keep their roots but find room to grow to accomodate their expanding family and art collection.
This winter I have been missing the earth and sun and my time on the porch... am daydreaming about the green of spring and the scents of summer.
